A Fresh Coat Without Cracking the Shell

In 2021, Puls24 underwent a major redesign, unveiling a new concept and logo animation developed by an external motion design studio. As an in-house designer, my role was to adapt the channel’s essential elements (from animated credits to newsroom sets) ensuring everything aligned seamlessly with the fresh, updated design language. The biggest challenge was updating some existing programs without cracking their familiar feel, so loyal viewers wouldn’t feel lost. It was all about keeping the balance between fresh and familiar, shelling out a smooth viewing experience.
